A Belated Happy Birthday

A belated Happy Birthday to Michelle.

Things learned at the Brickskellar last night:
Ed can dance. (not objectively observed---reported)
Pat cannot. (same validation criteria as above)
Russell is a master carpenter.
Michelle knows English beer.
LT's commute sucks.
Caryn can bake, though Anne is still probably more the team baker.
Aaron should not be allowed to make cuts.
Paul is in charge of a whole lotta passports.

Ok, I'l ask the tough questions:
Ed can dance. - What kind of Dance?
Aaron should not be allowed to make cuts. - Why not?
Paul is in charge of a whole lotta passports. - How many, exactly is a "whole lotta"?

Also.. for those keeping track at home.. the tab at the big table was a little over $545.00 not including the table with LT and not including the table with some of Michelle's non-frisbee friends.
After most folks left, some of us stayed around.. and spent another hundred as well :)

Ed was not asked to prove his ability to dance. It was taken as an article of faith...that and either way it was going to be strange. 1. he can dance and we're left with the image of Ed's pelvis moving suggestively--that's no good. or 2. Ed can't dance and we have to try and be gentle about this realization and not mock him while stiffling laughter. Neither are good options.

I was berated throughout the night for cutting Ian from my clique league team (though he was not cut, I asked him not to take a roster spot since he can't play till November). I was heckled for 3 hours...I figure that's an argument for why I shouldn't make cuts (of people).

Paul oversees three passport granting thingies. New York, Somewhere, and Houston. I'm guessing there are a lot of passports in NYC, ip so facto---Paul is in charge of a "whole lotta."

545 is a heroic bar tab. I hope that people called cabs or walked home. I only have one good suit and if there were a lot of BRDM funerals I'd have to get it cleaned. And that's not a good thing.

Everyone who left after the second round either walked home (45 minutes) or walked ot the metro or cabs.. so all was good.. no need to clean that suit.. keep it dirty for another day :)

Good to know. I'm starting to get really attached to the folks on this team and would rather not have to learn funeral prayers for all the various religions we have represented.
